Over the last week or two i've kinda found the motivation to squeeze in some hands when i can, and its not been good, but worth telling i guess. So i was browsing through a magazine and saw a quote from phil ivey talking about how he managed his BR when he was coming up starting at the tropicana in Atlantic City. The quote basically said that if he had 30k to his name he was playing 75/150 w/15k and if he lost that then he' would take 15k and play 50/100, and just rebuild or keep dropping down if needed. So being that i dont have the time to multitable or put in alot of time i figured maybe take that last 3k i have on cake and do something similar. well it started by playing 2 tables of 400nl. It actually started ok, of course i was a bit nervous but overall felt like i played well. so the end of my 400nl shot came 6 handed me holding KJs on a super aggro table. i got it all in against an A high FD for like $940 pot, and lose to flush on river...standard i guess but heart breaking! let me step back a bit and say that all of this stuff is a result of cake not letting me withdraw my money...over the past 4-5 months i've sent them about 10 good quality pics of my license that FT never had a problem with, and they apparently say that the quality isn't good enough, they seem like a bunch of crooks! Ok so back to the 400nl stuff....i quit after that pot feeling pretty sick. I got home later that night and said well maybe ill just play a few 200nl tables. So i played a little of that 4 tabling only to quit pissed off after posting to KK and losing a stack to AA on the first hand. Just typical stuff but its always great taking nasty beats when playing higher then you should! Soo then comes the day i got to work real early and decide to pull the laptop out and start watching the 1k nl HU games on cake. I got the nerve up to sit and the guy rolls off the table...so i tell myself "its not meant to be" but i go ahead and sit at another and lose my whole stack w/2 pair v a set! To be honest, at first the feeling of losing that money really stuck with me but i kinda quickly got over it and decided that once/if i rebuilt to 2k i would do it again but i've not been able to get anything going with my last 1k. Im also still trying to withdraw the money to, so whichever comes first i guess will happen.
On another quick note after all the checks i've gotten from Full Tilt in the past, i've never had a problem with any of them, until now. I normally cash/deposit them pretty quick but i've been hanging on to 1 for awhile, just been to busy. i get an email from them saying dont cash it and sorry and they gave me 100 bucks for my trouble. Thought that was pretty cool of them.
Lastly, i've got a ton going on right now. Its my turn to be working everyday at the house because its time for electrical rough in. I've got most of my boxes up, and the last few days have been putting in the recess lights so there is no question on location when i bring some friends in to to help me. So this weekend im goin to New York for a wedding, next weekend going to Atlantic City for 3 days, and the following weekend i leave for a week to chicago for work. Somehow have to get this house wired between these trips and before i leave for Chicago. Its coming along nice right now...money is tight as hell but we'll make it. everything is so expensive...i just spent 3k on my faucets for 1 shower, gotta love it.
